Surf and Stand Up Paddling (SUP) Lessons

Goofy Foot Surf School is known as one the best surf schools in Maui. They offer a wide variety of surf lessons, as well as stand up paddling lessons. If you are looking for private or group lessons, they can accommodate that as well.

Goofy Foot also offers party packages for those celebrating big events. Perfect for wedding parties, bachelor parties, or even birthday parties, Goofy Foot is a unique place to spend your special day.

Lessons are held at "Breakwall" and range from two hours and up. Typically, there is one instructor for five students.

Rivers to the Sea is consistently rated as one of the top surf schools in all Maui. It is the "surf school to the stars" as many famous actors and musicians come to Rivers to the Sea to learn how to surf. They offer lessons in both surfing and stand up paddling, and you can choose from group, semi-private or one-on-one lessons.

The instructors focus on teaching not only water safety and technique, but also how to have fun, and get on with your surfing!

Lessons take place at "Guardrails", off mile marker 19 on Honopi`lani Highway, just 5 minutes south of Lahaina.

Royal Hawaiian Surf Academy was founded in 1998, and is a family run business. Their passion for surfing runs deep, and when taking lessons from them, you can quickly see that it is contagious.

Royal Hawaiian Surf Academy offers private surf and stand up paddling lessons, group and semi private lessons. They also offer a "Surfari" package for experienced surfers who want to explore other surf spots on Maui. All other lessons are held at "Breakwall" in Lahaina.

Children under 9 years of age are required to have private lessons for safety purposes.

Maui Surfer Girls offers some of the best surf lessons and a SURF CAMP for teens and women!

Surf and stand up paddling lessons are offered to both men and women, ages five and up. This female owned business features an almost all female group of instructors, and a 4:1 student to instructor ratio. Choose from a private, semi-private or group lesson. Lessons are held at Ukumehame Beach Park.

For those who are more serious about surfing, Maui Surfer Girls offers an all inclusive surf camp! Campers get to spend a week in ocean front cabins. There are lessons from a professional surfing coach, meals, yoga, massages and other other "tropical adventures." This camp is exclusively for teen girls.

They also offer surf camp for women ages 18 and older. Campers are treated to a week of surf, pampering and relaxation.
