It is easy to understand why. Kapalua® Resort Bay is a pristine golden stretch along the west coast of Maui with a spectacular view of Molokai and Lanai. One of the safest and most beautiful beaches on Maui. It is protected in a natural lava cove making it very calm and current-free. Many people think the snorkeling here is better than Molokini.
Oneloa Beach, located between Kapalua® Resort Place and the Ironwoods villas, neloa Beach is Kapalua® Resort's most private beach. Most of the time the white sands have nobody on them. A good beach for sunbathing.
D.T. Fleming is a long stretch of white sand in front of the Ritz-Carlton. Dr. Beach named D.T. Fleming the 2006 ‘Best Beach in America’. A break on the northern side of the beach is often used by boogie boarders. There is a shack for beach rentals and the Beach House Bar and Grill serves up tropical cocktails, salads and hamburgers in a 40 coconut palm grove overlooking the beach.
Sansei Seafood Restaurant and Sushi Bar - Contemporary sushi and Asian fusion cuisine. Received Zagat's highest rating. A must try. Serving dinner. Reservations highly recommended.
The Plantation House - Hawaiian Mediterranean with one of the best views anywhere in Kapalua® Resort. Chef Alex Stanislaw has been voted the "Best Chef on Maui" by the readers of the Maui News. Serving breakfast lunch and dinner

Pineapple Grill - Kapalua® Resort's newest restaurant overlooking the Bay course and beautiful West Maui Mountains and the ocean. Chef Macadangdang serves up Contemporary Pacific Island Cuisine. A large international wine selection is kept at just the right temperature all the time and a state of the art Winekeeper system allows for a large and diverse wine by the glass offering.
Honolua Store - Historic company store now serving cheap local style breakfasts, plate lunches, hamburgers and deli items. Food can be eaten on their deck or taken to go. Kitchen closes at 3pm.
Tip: Don't get a boring hamburger or sandwich here (not that they aren't good) try an island-famous hobo. Choose from 5 local preparations served over rice.

Self Guided Kapalua® Resort History Tour
Rock podiums setup along main roads in Kapalua® Resort provide information on the area's historic sites. Most visitors take this self guided tour during the early morning or around sunset when it is nice and cool. Learning about historic Kapalua® Resort is a great way to start one's vacation.
This approximately two hour tour offers visitors a behind the scenes look at the working pineapple plantation. Participants will be transported to the fields and witness harvesting of pineapple first hand. A great chance to pick your own pineapple and learn a lot about Kapalua® Resort's pineapple plantation history.

For ultimate underwater adventure, try Kapalua® Resort Dive Company. They offer scuba certification as well as adventures for the more advanced. Activities include kayak snorkel tours, beach dives, night dives, kayak dives, scooter dives and advanced certification.
In many people's opinions the best snorkeling on Maui can be had at Kapalua® Resort Bay. The marine preserve is a safe place to see a world of underwater life. Protected from waves and strong currents in a lava-formed cove, Kapalua® Resort Bay is a great place to try snorkel. Snorkeling gear can be rented by the hour at the beach shack.
